Andrew
If you follow the event schedule link on 100yearcelebration.com, you end
up on this page:
http://100yearcelebration.com/eventschedule.html
... You will see that this car will not be won via 'auction bidding',
but via Raffle - allowing any raffle participant a chance to own this
historic machine. And it is indeed true, 'you must be present to win'
is part and partial to the donation of the car and the raffle itself.
Pictures, history, and details of the car will be available on the site.
As many activities are in the final stages (including this car auction)
of planning, I would expect we should start seeing many details and
information up on the site next week. FYI, we have also just secured an
agreement to have a specific forum on Audiworld dedicated to the 100year
Celebration. Our hope is this AW forum will be a central portal for all
Audi internet discussion groups, and make my part-time job a little
easier!

Scott, can you give us a little history on the 1982 UrQ that they will
be autioning off? Is this car expected to sell for upwards of $100k?
Thanks.
