Many years ago now, as in around 20, there was a black '85 Ur-Q at the Mountain View (CA. USA) Acura dealership for sale that I was looking at that had just a few thousand miles on it and had never been titled. When the salesman told me it had been purchased by Honda to "disassemble and reverse engineer" I ran away and never looked back. It did look new (but back then it almost was), but the thought of it being taken that far apart (and maybe it really wasn't) was scary. 

This example on ebay looks much more fishy....
