does Audi EVER market homegrown events like this ? and why is it so important for them to be involved anyway ?

I am saddened to hear that it wasn't possible to engage Audi to be able to
set up an uber-event ... I had opened the schedule and was looking forward
to *not* ending up on the Pikes Peak "wall of shame" this time ... :-)
I know that it is getting late in the year, but I'd love to work on setting
up something on the lines of an urq get together out here on the left coast.
I've been rather underwhelmed by the offers of people to help out both on
and off list ... but I'm still hopeful. I haven't been back to the Monterey
Historic Races ... and then there are the ALMS races at Sears Point and
Laguna Seca ...
I remember meeting with audi fans out in a parking lot at a restaurant ...
that turned out to have closed for business ... the more the better of
course, but anything's better than nothing ...

I haven't heard a thing on the list, and I have been checking the web site.
Does anyone know if UrQ 26 at Pike's Peak is dead? Thanks.
