[urq] Engine rebuild?

What you need is a friendly surgeon with an endoscope who does cash jobs at
weekends!. Then you could put it in from all angles and check inside
properly.
I would have thought it must have undergone a catastrophic event for all
rings to go at the same time to give an even coating of the plugs. Timing
with the valve stem seal replacement seems to point to those being the
culprit. A look at the back of the inlet valves with an endoscope would be a
tell-tale.Could save a lot of bother. Sometimes if seals aren't lubed when
fitted (any oil seal that is) they can wrinkle up on the shaft that passed
through them and tear and fail immediately. Could be the Audi specialist
just forgot to oil them as he re-fitted.
