I have a busted urq strut housing that I can rehearse bearing replacement with.
First off the SIR tool has 3 different size horseshoes bases that bolt to the bottom but the BMW one at 90mm is way to small. They make a 120mm horseshoe named 3J, but pictured here is not using the horseshoe at all. This bare tool opening is 142mm. Sounds good unless that horseshoe is needed to maintain the rigidity of the tool. Any BTDT

For pulling the bearing in, the #4& 5 cylinder tool is too large to fit, but that #12 tucks into the strut housing OK. any BTDT.

I put these in my upg 2005 album incase anyone wants to look at the 16 photos there.
