... you aren't subbed from the other account ... the urq list only accepts
messages from addresses that are in the subscriber list. When I find valid
posts in the queue I pass them through and enable posts from the address ...
so in fact now you don't need to subscribe the other address ...

I hear you on the smog check concerns ... especially given the treatment
Andrew got on his V8 conversion ... completely inappropriate IMO ... he did
everything that should have been required to incorporate the engine's
standard features to ensure it should continue to comply. There's nothing
specific to a fuel tank that would require it be incorporated into the other
vehicle for compliance.

That said, there is a process you can go through with a referee. If I had a
car that had 034 hardware installed I would go through them before deciding
to get rid of the car. Push comes to shove, it may not be that difficult to
refit the CIS ... of course it still has to pass emissions.

Hey, I'm re-sending this email as i didnt see it come through to the
list... Sorry if it ends up a duplicate post...

Hey all,

So, there is still some pressure to sell the UrQ, but my arguing has
pushed back the walls a bit.

Here's the thing that is weighing heavily on my mind. And this is
something that anyone who buys it in CA would have to deal with.

Unless something has changed that I'm not aware of, I think that the
car would not pass the visual inspection for a smog test. Sure, all
of the smog equipment is still there, but by my understanding, 034efi
isn't CARB certified.

Does anyone have a way to help me out a bit with this? Does anyone
else on the list have an efi UrQ in CA and has the solution?

I apologize for not listing this issue in my first post, but this
issue is really weighing heavily on my shoulders. Essentially, even
if I don't HAVE to sell the car, I can't really drive it, so what's
the point, ya know? In which case, i'd have to sell it, because
having a car that can't be driven just seems silly...

Anyway, i think y'all got the jist of my issue...

Any help is most definitely appreciated.

Thanks in advance, everyone.

Michael
