[urq] 83 urq Brake issues - where to go now?

This is what I bought and replaced it with.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120527504774&s
sPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

The beck part number shows as 108-5000

I'm looking into a ZF reman unit right now, just to see if that’s the
problem. But also confirming if the ZF unit is correct before I purchase and
put it on.

The ZF unit say its compatible with the follow Audi Part #s 035 145 155 B ,
035145155B , 035 145 155 BX , 035145155BX , 035 145 155 , 035145155 , 049
145 155 , 7671 955 140. Since the part I see I should be using is
035-145-155, I think I have the right ZF part.(hey if that’s not it, at
least I'll have a spare right?

JP,

Can you provide us the new pump part number and brand you installed so we
can check if it is the correct unit for an urQ ?

-----Message d'origine-----

B. Faulty/wrong pump

These early units (pumps) ran considerably less pressure (iirc) than the
later Audi power steering/brake systems, which is why they rarely leak in my
experience. Regular ATF (synthetic or not) should be fine and is what these
cars were delivered with in the early to mid 80's.

Hope you find the problem before it gets worse.

Ingo
