Yep I have looked all over and I can not see a wire anywhere!

the oil temp sensor is in the oil pump lwr corner and doubles as the plug
for the oil pressure relief valve in the oil pump housing....if your engine
has a sensor instead of a hex plug it will one (probably screw type)
terminal to attach a wire

some of the engines had sensors from the factory even when the car didn't
have a gauge, others, nogauge/no sender...............HTH......m

Subject: [urq] Oil temp sensor question.

I have a Oil temp gauge from a 1987 4000q you know the one with the dial for
the diff locks and the Digital Oil temp and volt gauge are all in one.

And my question is where can I pick up the signal for the oil temp gauge on
the motor (1982)

It only has one wire on it for the gauge so is there any place on the motor
I can tap into or will I have to install a new sensor on the motor?
