I just rebeuilt mine a few months ago. I on ly spent about $20 in parts and it wasn't a bad job. It was almost more trouble removing and re installing it as it was to rebuild it.

If you already have one that's just leaking, you're much better off replacing
ll the seals. See the archives for details. If you don't have a booster at all,
he BMW part Ed referenced is identical to the urq aluminum model, except the
haft that connects to the brake pedal is shorter. That can probably be remedied
ith length of rod cut with the proper metric threads on each end and a
onnector to mate to the existing shaft. If you can't find an urq booster, I
uggest finding a BMW one in a junkyard, rebuild it, and add a shaft
xtension--gotta be much cheaper than a new booster.

e's also got a bunch of info on the replacement procedure. It looks like his
it is just for the aluminum model. If you're rebuilding an iron booster, a
ouple of the small interior seals won't fit.
