Well that is definitely for sure as ACNA seems to really celebrate the newer
models with barely a nod to the ones that really started the whole thing,
that being the original Quattro Club.

Due to my desire to own an AU1000SP at some point, I've joined a
Auto-Union/NSU/DKW yahoo group. They seem to be becoming more active over
the past couple years ...
I also believe a part of the reason Audi seems less interest in the distant
past has to do with the various other associated marques that comprise Auto
Union, and the fact that the ownership of "Audi" has not been consistent
over the years.
Getting back to my original point ... Audi, at least AoA, is willing to pour
a reasonable amount of cash into the enthusiast community ... it is just
that the current destination for this charity does not do much to support
the older car fans ... of any Auto Union marque ...

Part of what may be our own downfall as an enthusiast-group is that our love
for the brand's cars begins much later in the company's history. Porsche,
BMW and Mercedes people LOVE their 50's, 60's and 70's cars. There are very
few Audi cars before '81 that I love enough to keep one alive. I'm not
saying there are no good Audi-brand vehicles from back then - but far, far
fewer than P/B/M.
