[urq] FW: Brakes for the UrQ

I have a stupid question :

If someone install super-aggressive racing pads on stock rotors and calipers
(ok, maybe G60 fronts + S4 rears), I know the rotors would be eaten in short
distance, but could a system like that provide plenty of stopping power ?

I'm asking, cause I saw a works racing Ford Taurus SHO (1989) back in the
day, Scott Maxwell was the driver, and they were using stock FoMoCo rotors,
and change them each week-end. The car was racing in Showroom stock, so
modifications were minimal. And the 4 rotors were glowing red just after a
few laps, and stayed like that for the whole race. Could this be an
alternative for us who don't drive the car much ?

I'm running Boxster calipers w/300mm rotors. Steve, what rotor did you
settle on? Did you find a better option than the A8 one that has to be cut
down? I know we discussed a few options a while back. My setup fits under
the 8x15 Ronals, but not the 6x15 or Fuchs. I also run the 8x16 urS4 Fuchs,
but I'm sure some 16s won't work. Offset and spoke clearance will be an
issue with many wheels.

These are great brakes, but if you want to really push the car on the track
the thin rotors (25mm) might not be enough. They're OK for me, but I don't
have the nerve to push my urq close to 10/10ths.
