You don't get it : it's a 1:1 model kit, my child dream... :-)

I'm with you about the CO car, if it was a bit closer, it would be a choice.
But I don't want 2 cars, only 1 in nice shape. Since mine is not a rust
bucket, but a seasoned (and salted a bit...) vehicle in need of a proper
repaint, a job that I evaluated at 4000$ (if I do all the R&R in my
brother's garage). That's why maybe a nicer shell could be an alternative to
start with.

Well Martin had a good thought. I know the car in CO - it runs very well
(last I saw it) and looks great. Transferring all the parts sounds like an
urq prison sentence....

That was my question to Martin.

Paint job on my slightly rusty urQ (bubbles around the sunroof, sills,
fenders bottoms) or buy an unrusted shell and drop my mainly rebuilt and
solid mechanicals ?

The car won't be a daily driver anymore, two young girls forbid that, but it
will see winter duties for sure, as I can't imagine not driving this car on
the slippery stuff. I just want a solid and well protected, but not perfect,
body with a correct paint. I don't have a garage (for now) so it sits in my
driveway.

Opinions ?
