[urq] 83 urq Brake issues - where to go now?

When i unplugged the top/side switch the brake light would go out...

The fluids have been completely flushed, and are topped off...

I'm using Mobil 1 ATF Sync through out the system.

Can anyone confirm if the system should be getting hot? I have really never checked before...never came to mind, but was thinking that if it was to get that hot a cooler would of been put in place?

But with the light going off at full turn on the steering just through me for a loop?

thanks

Hi JP,

You can pinpoint a bit further by finding which switch is triggering the
brake light. You can check this by unplugging each switch alternatively and
check for the light to go out.

Another point, you did filled the reservoir correctly with red ATF (10mm
below the top when the bomb is empty) ? I'm sure you did...

-----Message d'origine-----

The brake light went off for about 3-4 mins (running the engine at idle)

Pedal felt great, no light, even pumping the pedal fast, felt good etc.

But after about 5 mins, the brake light came back on?

When I move the steering to either locked side (full left or full right) the
light goes out, but returns comes back on when not full left or right.

Then when looking around in the engine bay I touched the pump and it was
pretty hot, I followed the lines and the Brake Servo and lines too were also
hot! Is this normal? Anyone have any ideas on what I can look at? Or what
might be going on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
