[urq] Rear spring rate recommendations?

I have to agree with the others here that there could be another issue, although I heard from the Iroz guys that you keep your car pretty well maintained... Did you do any corner weighting of the car or did you set your desired ride height?

I can respect what you are saying about the handling being quite different from what you were used to but from the cars I have been in I can't seem to grasp the car feeling bad with those rates... Many of us are actually running a heavier rate in the rear just to get the car to pivot. What did you do for struts? Could it be that your spring / valving combo is unmatched? The higher the rates go up - the less the sway bar does for you anyway. With those spring weights you could still be getting some effect to the rear so maybe try pulling the rear bar off (even put the small rear bar on the front for that matter and leave the rear off)

My 90 Coupe Q is running 350F and 400R, Konis', no front sway bar, and a quick ratio rack and its fking fantastic...

Subject: [urq] Rear spring rate recommendations?

So I finally got the UrQ back out to the track in Jan and got a chance to try
out a bunch of the new mods. The one thing I was not happy with was the rear
suspension. I put on a set of ground control coil-overs with 300lb springs all
around. I am pleased with this rate on the front, but it made the back end
waaay to nervous. It seemed very jarring & bouncy on the rougher parts of the
track. I am thinking about going to a 250lb on the back. Any thoughts or
experience with this?

Eric
