[urq] Has anyone ever put HRE 549s on an UrQ?

Hey all

So, my sebattical in the Porsche world has been seriously changing how  
I look at cars and how modifications can really be amazing.

I REALLY wish that the urq had 1/10th of the mods available to p-cars.  
I'd love to see deleon bushings swapped to polybronze bushing/ 
bearings. Have monoball upper strut mounts. Etc etc.

As I think about it. Actually there are a lot of great things  
available for it, but having threaded strut housings stock would have  
been such a smart idea.

Anyway. Sorry bout that.

I've been looking for a long time for 17" wheels that look a LOT like  
the classic 15x8 ronal R8s. When looking for the wheels available for  
my 81 911 (you'd be amazed at how few there really are when it comes  
down to it - and they are almost all 1k a pop), I looked at the  
product line for HRE and saw that the 549 is a 16 spoke wheel that has  
a strong resemblance to the r8s.

Eventually, I'd like to get a set for the urq, but I don't know if  
they would have the desired effect.

Sorry for the long email. I've been off work on medical leave for a  
while now. I'm probably lonely. Heh.

Anyway, if so, I'd LOVE to see some pictures.
