Ed,
I used a bench grinder FWIW. A dremel just won't cut it - literally, and even a
pnuematic die grinder tool would have taken a long time. I had the meat cut out in a
few minutes with a bench grinder.
How much you need to take out really would depend on how the PS rack is welded. Mine
had a thick bead cut down to look like it was cast that way.
I also enlarged the holes for the Master Cylinder studs - just made it install easier.
I took pictures if anyone wants.
The part is pretty sturdy, and even though I could have fabricated it, it is probably
worth the money if you can't fabricate metal parts. Certainly worthwhile insurance.
Just the install could have been easier, and will be if you are prepared for a fit check
and then know where to grind out some metal.

because, after listen to all of you about firewall cracks. I was thinking in buying the
034 brace....
So, you guys recomen this unit?
I have a dremling tool, would that do the small trim requier?
Do I need to disconect any lines? or just work my puzzleing magic?
