[urq] Drive shaft center bearing replacement...

Hi JP,

Indeed, a sagging driveshaft is prone to vibrate at speed. IME, don't worry
about the CV joints, if the boots are OK they'll be fine inside. Not much
angle there, and not much power passes through them either. Clearly, it's
typical Audi's over engineering for their first AWD car...

Now, replacement is very easy. Did it 3 times on three different urQ. You
need the BMW center bearing and the Suzuki XL-7 u-joint. You may want to
dismantle both parts and bring them to the parts store, for easier
identification purposes. Why not bring the rest of the driveshaft ? If you
have a good counterman, you may ask him to find us collectively a suitable
CV boot for the CV joints. I don't think anyone ever found a replacement and
posted it to the list. Might be overkill since I've never seen one fail yet.

Anyone have any input or concerns? I have a press so I should be able to
press in and out the bearings, I think Im more concerned about the CV joints
on each end if parts are available and if I need anything special for them?
Plus any tips or hints or things to prepare for so I can preorder what I
need?

Thanks so much in advance!

JP
