------ Stabilant is not a cleaner. It is a contact enhancer. DeOxit and some other stuff are cleaners. The idea is too clean the surfaces to the bare metal , then apply the Stabilant. VERY little is needed; just enough to cover the contact surfaces. So a little goes a long way. It was made for electronic type connections. Like in computers. It is Not for switches or anything that lets the contact surfaces open and close . The surfaces need to Stay in contact for the stabilant to be effective. Usually a good cleaning will do the job . Dissimilar metals tend to corode , especially if there is moisture around . Keep them clean and dry and they should be good. It's in the Book ! :-)) Hope this helps a little, ...Stephen R.
