[urq] Rear seat belts

I'm stumped;
Either the PO didn't have rear belts or my body shop removed them.
I don't have them.
Regardless I have a set from a late model Coupe Gt interior.
It appears that the ratchets bolt to the back of the  upright housing.
Then through the sheet metal & the parcel shelf &  up the to C pillar.
I found a perfect parcel shelf to replace mine & the slots for the belts
line up in  different places than  the old one; about 6 inches closer to
the seat.
This would be no big deal except that the indentation on the left side is
not cut out of the sheet metal?????????
Dremel time......
When I find the time I will look at a friends urq (same year 83 ) but in
the meantime I was wondering if this is an anomaly or if belt locations are
year specific ?
