Interesting they had to next day delivery studs from outside the country.:-)

 

In Oregon there is an initiative to outlaw studs all together, just what I
wanted to see on Mt Hood when the snow covered roads are covered in drizzle
there isn't a studless tire on the market that keeps you from sliding
SIDEWAYS on the roads when all the soccer moms in their SUVs and the guys in
lifted jeeps are spinning around in circles. 

 

Reason. some guy thinks the studs are totally responsible for the damage to
the roads that also have billizon ton trucks with chains driving on the same
roads.when the roads are dry, because ya just don't know when the next hill
with snow/ice is gonna sneak up on ya!

Audi rented MY (:-o) ice track last month to showcase their new products,
and to give participants a ride in a, guess what ?, a tried and true rally
car from the Group B era ! Sadly, I wasn?t invited but some Canadian
journalist were. Here are their papers. Franck Sprongl was there with its
LWB Quattro, and Audi Tradition brought a genuine Sport Quattro from 1984-85
driven by Harald Demuth.
