So my wife's car has a cracked aluminum oil pan. Again. F#*K.

So I'm looking for the P/N for the oil pan for a 2003 Volkswagen Passat V6 4Motion auto tranny. It.s a 2.8L 30V motor - not sure which other models the pan is shared with. Any favored sources for a used one?

Would JB Weld seal it for a couple weeks to take the pressure off me replacing it right away???? It's leaking quite a bit. Wonder if it could be welded - I actually had a steel pan welded (in situ) on my old '84 4kq many many years ago...

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

PS - anybody changed the oil pan in one of these (VW Passat) cars? tips?
