[urq] Exhaust System Alternatives

Below is a link to estimate for SS 3" exhaust for 3b conversion from turbo
outlet to dual tips. The only items not included are the SS flanges for the
turbo and waste gate which are approx. $20 each. The cat meets OBD2
standards except for California; but Hank indicated there is a California
approved cat available at a slightly higher cost. The entire system would be
built from 3" stainless steel with mandrel bends. The "y" inlet for the
waste gate would be further down the pipe than an S2 for better flow. The
cat would have flanges on either side for R & R with a test pipe included.
There would be a bung hole for the O2 sensor. There would be a slip pipe
(not flange connection) over the rear axle to R&R the two sections. I
believe the rest of the estimate is self explanatory. The price of the
original one that they would test fit to the sponsor car is as stated on the
estimate (Approx. $1,450) thereafter the price would be approximately $50
cheaper. They would manufacture the jig and cad drawings on their nickel for
future sales. They want to build at least two to start off; one for the
sponsor car, and then one from the jig and cad drawings they produce and
then test fit it in the sponsor car to make sure they have it correct.
The sponsor car has all new engine and transmission mounts and the car has
never been hit so the dimensions should be correct for all URQ's. We would
need at least two commitments to do this (sponsor car is one commitment) and
everyone would be paying exactly what Hank charges with no outside profit
(excluding shipping charges and tax for out of state buyers) I have seen
Hanks work on Panteras and it is impeccable fit and finish. S-line is also a
customer of his. Let me know what you think. Hank indicated that you are
welcome to call him with any questions. I need to make a decision on the
sponsor car before the ninth of March on whether to have Hank do it or have
Brendan from Apikol make a custom tig welded down pipe. /Peter
