Agreed on the quality of the swap being highly variable, with most of them unfortunately leaning towards scary. My favorite was an eS2 I was interested in that was done by a "professional mechanic" and "only needs a few things to be perfect" It looked good in the pics, full RS2, etc..

Then I asked about the wiring. "That was easy- I just ran both harnesses into the passenger footwell, hooked up the only few wires you really need, and cut off everything else."

A/C work? Nope. All gauges? Nope.

Cue running away screaming.
