[urq] urq SS 3" exhaust

Hi guys,

First off, a big thanks to all the guys that liked my 3" exhaust system for the urq.

A long story short the exhausts aren't ready yet. There are a couple of reasons
for this.

I made one for MIke Hopton, and although he was really happy with it, I thought I could
do better. I've  completely remade all the jigs over the winter, and I'm working on reducing the number of  welds that each system requires.

The first systems were mig welded using stainless wire, I wasn't happy with the finish,
so I bought a tig welder for this purpose.

I don't want this system to get any bad  press.

Time frame wise, they probably won't be ready until spring. Price is also still to be determined, however I realize that everybody is price
 conscious in today's economic
down turn.

I'm going to build a few  more first ,and try them on some of the local guys cars, so
as to be satisfied with fit and finish before selling them to the public.

For any one that wants to have a look at my  3" system , here's a pre -production exhaust currently installed on my urq. I have over 3000 miles of problem free driving
on this system.

Keep in mind,  this system was the first prototype, all bends are now mandrel bent, and all welds are going to be tig welded.   Also as standard, exhaust tips are now 3 " for a more aggressive look, and fill the real valence much better IMO

I have some better pictures at home. I'll try and host them with a link tonight  when I get home.

Cheers,

Craig Cook.

Hi Eric,

I've seen and heard Craig Cook's exhaust
and it is exactly like the
original except 3" SS with 3" tailpipes angle cut just like OE.
He has option for V-band and that is what he is using on his and Mike
Hopton's cars.  Can't go wrong with his, attention to detail and superb
quality.  I can't wait for Craig to make one for my car.

Cheers
Martin
