Could also be plain old vapor lock, as these cars tend to do that.

Could be a few things. First, check the wire connections to the pump and
make sure they're clean. Does this usually happen if it's sat overnight and
you go to start it in the morning? If so, it's likely your fuel
accumulator has gone bad and won't hold pressure -- check to see if it's
leaking /seeping.
There's more, but I'd start with these two first.
