Hi Ed
Yes, you're right it's the long one. And this is great. At least I now know it's obtainable from 034. Excellent. Thanks very much.
Regards
Keith

Hi,
According to this, it could be the same for the 80/90/Coupe Quattro, S2 and RS2
http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-components-audi-i5-silicone-coolant-hose-kit-audi-i5-wauxiliary-radiator-p-1013.html
I think you are looking for the long one right? that goes from the bottom of the expansion tank to the bottom of radiator.

> Anyone know of a source for or an imaginative work around for replacing the coolant hose from the expansion tank to the bottom of the main radiator - part number 857-121-109A?
> I haven't managed to locate one yet here in UK. It was made NLA by our helpful manufacturer in 2008. (how to they keep their "tradition" fleet on the road?).
> Mine hasn't given up completely - I had to smarten-up the radiator end of it which of course means it is now about 1in shorter but I can't keep doing this.
> I have a spare rad so I took that to a motor factors and bought a length of hose based on the O/D of the rad fitting but when I came to swap it over I found that the expansion tank end is a significantly larger bore (which did they do that? It makes no sense - other than perhaps a bean counter saved a few pfennigs by re-using an expansion tank off something else???)
> Anyway, you guys across the pond are a few years ahead of us when it comes to inventive solutions to overcome NLA parts...any ideas? All I've though of so far of doing is get two pieces of hose - one to fit the bore of rad the other to fit the bore of the exp tank and a metal joiner/take down piece between them....but it's a bit crap. Does anyone know if there is a hose off another model in the VAG range (or anyone elses range for that matter) that will provide a more elegant solution?
> As always all suggestions gratefully received.
