Pat,
There's another method, the Wagner IM, sold by 034 in the US
(http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-components-audi-i5-20vt-034efi-high-out
put-intake-manifold-new-lower-price-p-200.html) , that has the Throttle body
at the very front of the engine. That would totally clear the radiator! One
fellow in the UK has intercoolers on both sides, not just one big one.
The RS2 or 3B method certainly works, although each has its own problems.
You have to source the entire intake system not just the Intake manifold,
the 3B and RS2 system parts are not totally interchangeable. Some parts
work, some don't.

I'de like to know / see how he solved the intake interfereing with the
radiator .
The way I see it , there are 2 options .
Either use a 3b or rs2 intake . Wich has the trottle near the bulkhead .
Than the plumbing , intercooler etc remains pretty much as it was , altough
it still needs a lot of work to make it all fit .
Or use the AAN intake , with a relocated throttle body to clear the
radiator .
In that case a huge surface front mounted intercooler from a honda can be
used .
This setup needs even more modifications and plumbing to get it all together
.
Butr I think it's worth wile , and that's the way the way I intend to do it
.
If ever I find the time that is .
