My sympathies are with you Jim.

And please tell us more about him, would you? 

Even if I've never met him, I knew him a bit. The internet "virtuality" indeed has a bit of reality, since we know each other for a
very long period now and every friend departure is felt as a loss.

At least, his epic fights with another character of this list are still available in the archives. It's a form of legacy, I guess.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to post this information to the list.

Last Wednesday (December 5) Phil Payne passed away.

There's little I can say other than that I'll remember him as an unique individual, a very clever guy, a font of knowledge and
somebody who never refused to help me with my quattro or provide useful advice.
