[urq] I got a phone call from Audi of America about parts!

On the usa Audi site they have an owners tab with a contact section 'Email an Audi Product Specialist'.     So I wrote that they had marked down the mid mufflers 857-253-409A from $795 to $69 recently, but I found out too late, is there a way to be notified?   I was shocked when I  heard my answering machine 'This is Heather Klein of Audi of America', so I picked it up ASAP.   In a split second my mind raced as I imagined being told about Audi's new commitment to it's vintage cars, wow AOA is calling ME!    It went down hill quickly.   First she said, wherever I saw this it was a 3rd party site that has nothing to do with Audi of America,  I said - wait - it says 'To purchase these deals, contact your local participating VW Dealer'.    I'm not talking about overstock.com here, you have to go to the Audi dealer in person to buy these parts (well once upon a time you could go to genuineaudiparts.com) , what do you mean Audi corporate has
 nothing to do this?   (It help to be convincing since this URQ muffler deal was listed on a VW of America web site, not Audi's).   Other great quotes are 'we don't have any parts for 1983 cars in our warehouse'.     I feel sorry for the dudes plunking down $150K for an R8.   It's a disposable, not collectable.
