[urq] High beam indicator stuck on, high beam stalk has no effect- what did I break?

Here's what the switch does... turn the lights on, the high beams are on. Pull the switch the full length of travel, the high beams are on. There is no audible or tactile detent that would switch the highs to lows. That's a bad switch, and requires no tests or inspection IMO/E. Could some 'other' issue also be present? I suppose, but that doesn't change the first problem I discovered when turning on the lights.

In addition, I don't buy a diode being the cause or the effect of relay failure in any way. I can take a reverse-bias diode relay and purposely blow the diode, and that relay will cycle as long as the relay right next to it that never had a diode. Because I've created the same condition. Mike S point, and mine, in my round about way....

Cheers

Scott J

Hey, you guys have dealt with this issue before, I was just trying to suggest something.

I can't see how it could be the switch, but if you have had it happen before, I'm not going to question experience over technical knowledge.
