You should go to the Pelican list (Porsche forum) and check out the 930 turbocharged section... then search for programmable WUR. You will see plenty of feedback on this device. The theory is great, but in practice this mod is far from perfected.

There is another guy (can't recall his name) that rebuilds WURs and does a fantastic job, and replaces the diaphragm with a heavier unit. I had my 930 WUR rebuilt by him, and it works exceptionally well. I bought it with the enrichment delay enhancement, and if you're measuring your AFRs, you can see that it works very well. Entry price is about the same, but it actually works all the time.

IMO, the damage that is possible with the WUR failing to perform correctly (boost enrichment), I would never go with the Unwired product at this point.

I suppose if you wanted to explore the possibilities of mixture control under
boost with CIS this might be interesting, but the $500 entry fee seems a bit
steep to me. The WUR is an extremely simple box, if you think you are having
problems specific to the WUR you might want to look into giving the one you
have.

urq friends,

I've been off the list for a few years as I may have missed a previous
discussion. The stock warm-up regulator (WUR) has been screwy for a long time
now and I've finally gotten 'round to dealing with it. Instead of rebuilding
it I was thinking of buying this: http://unwiredtools.com/utcis-v.asp Does any
one have experience with this product? Yes, I know an 034 system would be
better but I don't have time to do an extensive upgrade implied by a full system
replacement.
