Hi everyone,

While we were hooked on Audi for their rally prowess's, now Audi is again a king of motorsport in Endurance racing. And like in
1980, they are innovators. Diesel engines were as difficult to tune for a racetrack that was the 4wd system back in the day. Now,
it's hybrid and AWD that Audi will push. 

As for this year race (2012), here is a nice article about the new R18 Hybrid+Quattro (I refuse to use the e-tron moniker as "etron"
means "turd" in French...) 

Very interesting car with huge amount of technology. AWD over 75 mph only, electrical energy is stored in a flywheel and will only
drive the front wheels, diesel engine in the back, etc. Toyota, the other big player (Peugeot has left the series) will use a gas
engine with hybrid assist on the rear wheels only.

And look at the wheels : these are modernized Ronal R8, same 16 spokes, same lip, and since they are as wide front or rear, they
