[urq] 3b: putting alt on driver's side and using 4kq power steeringpump

Hi Chris,

You sure??

I had a 3B with 7A alternator and low pressure pump.
My setup moved the pump to the middle groove which is the A/C one.
We used the same setup on Mike's car with 3B and 4kq alternator as well,
works with both.

Here are some pics.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [urq] 3b: putting alt on driver's side and using 4kq power
steeringpump

Looking for any BTDT advice.

Had the 3b set up with a 7a power steering pump, but now want to use the 4kq
pump as it is lower pressure like the Urq rack.

However, if I mount the 4kq pump, it needs to align in the outer most pulley
on the crank, not the inner most ...

So, now the alternator that I installed using the 7a mount has to move
further back to use the center or inner groove on the crank pulley.

Is there a mount that will allow the alternator on the driver's side (left)
while leaving room for the 4kq style power steering pump?

Thanks, Chris
