[urq] 6 speed into my Urq

It's been a long - long time since I've been able to play with my cars... between a ton of work and never-ending home construction that's been eating up my weekends for years, my toys have remained neglected  However, now I'm getting back into it.  My '72 BMW 2002tii is on its way to Dallas for a complete strip-down for body and paint work, after which I intend to build a nice little turbo M10 engine for it (2 liter 4 pot, 8 valve).

Also, I intend to start working on my '83 Urq this winter.

To the point... I've heard bits and pieces of these discussions, but I'd like to know if anyone here has had first-hand experience putting a 6 speed into an Urq.  I'd also love it if anyone knows of someone who has documented this procedure.  Frankly, I'll take any information I can get.

I've got an absolutely rust-free '83 looking for love, and an AAN and a CRB just waiting for a new home.
