[urq] Ur-S4 / V8 Ufo brakes

I went thru several sets of pads and ufo's on my two 91 200 avants, 300k miles on my first one.  I never had any warping issues either on ufos or any rotors. The 200q20v list did have a lot of discussion on rotor warping, I think the consensus was that, like any rotor, if you decel from 80mph to 0 in a 4000lb+ car and then stand on the brake at a stop light the pads can bake onto the rotors and leave deposits but more so you are conducting an uneven cooling of the rotor which leads to warping.....and keeping the interior venting vanes rust free was important as well.....especially in NY salty roads.....i also remember a lot of sticking guide pins on audi brakes leading to uneven wear and warping back then.....stupid guide pin boots...a must replace during any brake service in my book....i probably have some new in the box on the shelf still

The theory when they tried them was that you would have a greater surface area for braking with an interior caliper.  They were pricey! I thought they weighed more also.....they kinda looked stupid under 4 spoke wheels also, where the bbs spiderwebs hid them better.

Hi Guy's , does anyone have experiance
with the (in) famous UFO frontbrakes , used on the V8 and urS4 audi's ? 

Got myself an S4 donor today , and to my surprise it has brand 
new front UFO brakes . Thought they were V8 an audi 200-3B only .   
Not that I intend to try and use them on the ur-q , but as usual I'de like to know a bit more . 
>From what I've been told , they're not the best in the world , they warp easily and are friggin expensive .
