I've been examining my AAN donor a little closer today .
Strange , there's a distributor like something on the back of the cilinder head .
It's not the plug an AAN should have .
The best way I can describe it is like the bottom half of a distributor , with the cap removed and some
kind of lid on it instead . A 3 wire connector arrives on it .
This is most likely the cam position sensor , but I've never heard of this kind of setup .
The cam senor should be located on the rear of the timing belt pulley .
Looking at the wiring loom , it does seem original . No cut or folded wiring , no solder or other joints .
Harness is intact and not tampered with
And it has all the other AAN parts like the coil packs and the ignition amplifiers , the bracket with all the connectors etc .
all located in the locations I'de expect them to be , and all looking very original .
So my best guess is that this is a very early aan , wich has a slightly different
cam position sensor . No record of it in etka , not mentioned in the shop manual .
