Now that we're talking about colloquialisms nobody will even look for
Mike's original observation.
I kept that episode for years & finally deleted it .
Does anyone have it to share?
Twat is apparently a stronger alternative to the word Twit.
Not commonly used in the US but I've heard it before.
In Chicago the common term for people like Mike is "Jamoke".
I do like Edd though & have learned a few English terms I didn't know
,like "nick".
*In good nick / in bad nick* = in good (or bad) health or condition
(Informal British English)
- She’s in pretty *good nick* for an eighty-year-old.
- Your bike is in *bad nick*, you should buy another one.
Cheers,
Steve.
