[urq] Audi 10 Valve Noises

My understanding of oil specs is that the "15W" refers to the actual physical viscosity, and "40" refers to a level of performance associated with chemistry, additive packages, etc. I wouldn't think that the 15W would be enough to interfere with the operation of an otherwise healthy hydraulic lifter.
My two cents' worth...
Good luck!

Subject: [urq] Audi 10 Valve Noises

Hey UrQ guys,

I'm having my 2.3l 10 valve acting like a valve is stuck open at idle, and
then at 2500-3000 I get a metallic noise.

I'm kinda suspecting its the heavy weight oil (15w40) sticking a lifter,
but I wanted a second opinion.

Any ideas?
