[urq] Summer Time Upgrades

A couple of things I would like to get input on from more experienced urq owners.

1.  I would lie to fix the currently non operational AC.  One guy told me that all I need to do is recharge the system with the new refrigerants, and it will work at an acceptable level.  Another guy told me I should retrofit a later AC system from a B5 A4.  Any thoughts???

2.  I was told by an experienced Audi guy that the B5 A4 brakes are a good, easy upgrade to the urq.  There is a local ad running on Craigslist for B5 S4 brakes at a reasonable price.  Does anyone know if this is a bolt on fitment for the urq, and will it fit under 15" wheels?
