It has been a while since I've looked at this issue, but fromI what I recall there is a Sandem compressor that is a direct bolt-in.

The AC compressor in my '83 urq died. I'm trying to find a replacement that will work within the existing system. Minor modifications to fittings and hoses is no big deal, but I would like to be able to retain the existing evaporator, condenser etc. Any ideas on other more common models that used a similar compressor or aftermarket units with the correct sizing. Or perhaps there is someone that can rebuild the existing compressor.
I'm assuming everything will be run on 134a, not R12.
If a complete system replacement is the only option, what is a good donor car that is already set up for 134a.
