[urq] tires and premature aging

I ran a set of Dunlop 215's once on my urq w/8" Ronals for a short time. They appeared to be a bit stretched for the 8" rims and handled really bad. I realize that other tire brands/ models might be acceptable in this size as there can be quite a bit of actual size variance even though they are marked as 215's. Years ago I switched to Hankook R-S2, then R-S3 in size 225/45-15. They are a bit smaller in diameter which eliminates any fender rubbing ( H&R w/ Konis). Handling of course is fantastic wet and dry but are horrible in downpour conditions. Since I only drive it around 4k per year, I typically get 2 years per set. They do get loud as they wear however but the work for me. Eddie
