[urq] JALOPNIK Urq feature

It is an '83, very nice but far from original..

Fromthe outside:
Rear bumper has plugs, which were phased out mid '83 production.
Rear valance is "narrow" i.e. does not cover the 8" Ronals.. '84 and up valances were "wide" or had spacers to make them "wide".

On the inside:
The main dash is from an 85 and newer missing the '84 only line across it.
Stalks, center console and gloveboxes are old style i.e. 83 and older.
It has the '83 door pockets as well.  So all in all I woudl say its an '83.
One look under the hood would confirm it.

I also made the follwoing notes on the youtube video as well:
"Awesome to see another one on the road and cared for!  However few pointers to the owner, This is very far from original, the 8" Ronals were not stock on 1983, the dash was swapped from later cars, it has Euro bumpers and black tail lights!  Front lights are also updated Euro with sloping grill.  Missing the original stripes and front valance stickers, the trunk lid should have "Audi" and 'quattro" stickers as well, not decals.  The trunk lid reflector is European and does not fit the US trims, you can see the gap between them, (if you need them I have a set of Euro trims).  Otherwise keep on enjoying!!"

You are correct, he does not seam to know the details about the car.  Then again he's not here.. ;)

I got the same impression. Among other things that looks like an '84 and he keeps calling it an '83. 
 Am I wrong?
