[urq] Bosch "turbine" replacement fuel pump - seems noisy?

Hi all,
My fuel pump (PO had put on a boneyard '88 944 pump) finally succumbed last
week. I replaced with an OE Bosch 69430 unit Amazon had for $106 (plus
$4.99 one-day shipping, whoo-hoo!). Link to Amazon product page:

The description from Bosch touts "near silent" operation, but I find the
pump to make a pretty good high-pitched whine which is actually louder than
the one it replaced. Other than being shrill, the sound is steady and no
running issues so far.

I have eliminated the tank vacuum issue which I believe caused the last
pump's demise, I have an almost-new fuel filter and freshly cleaned
sediment canister, and fuel came gushing out of the suction line when I
swapped out the pumps, so I don't believe it is under extra any stress.
Also, I am not currently running a back seat, which amplifies a lot of
noises from under the car.

Wondering if anyone else is running a newer Bosch pump and has noticed it
to be other than "nearly silent."

Thanks,
Jon ('85 with 3B)
