Thank you so much Pat.  I was going crazy trying to find one. Now, am I to understand from your pictures that you made your own filter? If so, do you have a spare you are willing to sell? If not, do you think an Audi dealer could find one?
While I have you Pat, do you have any recommendation for the fuel pump replacement, filter (after the pump) and the accumulator??Again, Thanks a bunch Pat.

I'm afraid it's no longer available anywhere .
And it's kind of an oddball , cause it has  12mm ( 1/2inch)
fittings . Most inline fuel filters are 1/4 to 3/8  ..

The fuel pump is gravity fed , and the restriction in the intake must be
minimal .
Otherwise you'll kill the fuelpump in no time . That is why they used such a
large
diameter intake .

I've seen a guy who created a little manifold , and put 3 1/4 inline
filters parallel .
Certainly works , but it's a lot of connections ..

Here's the way I solved it .

This takes about 6 hours of machining , so it's way to expensive to build
and sell them .
But if you have acces to a lathe or know a machinist .....

Good luck .
Pat
