[V6-12v] lighter

You have the extra VDO instruments, right?  If it's anything like a UK spec
Audi 80, then they're where the lighter usually is - when you have the
instruments, the lighter goes on the hand (emergency) brake surround.  Undo
the bolt behind the little trap-door, and another one underneath the rear
passengers' ash-tray, and then carefully lift out the consul.  The wiring
for the bulb is easy to see, and the bulb is just a push fit - it's the work
of a moment!
