[V6-12v] Oil Change question

Yes, counter-clockwise to remove and clockwise to tighten. The drain plug is
not reverse threaded or anything like that. When I first bought my car back
in '96, I was oblivious to the concept of a crush washer, and did not
replace it for the first 3-4 oil changes. By the 4th change, I could not get
the drain plug out for the life of me. I had been using a 17 mm 12 point
socket to remove the plug, and it had rounded it off pretty well. When I
bought the new drain plug, I started replacing the crush washer with every
change, and bought a 17 mm box wrench for removal. I've done 15 or so
changes since, and have never had a problem in getting the plug out. HTH.
