[V6-12v] Temp. gage reading low, trouble code 2312

Look for an aftermarket "G12" type coolant. G12 is the genuine audi part no. 
It's actually the same 'red' coolant that is now used as standard by most 
major manufacturers and is widely available aftermarket. Just look on the back and 
check that it conforms to the VW standard (it's VW G12 TL-D, or something 
like that - I don't have one to hand). It shouldn't cost you much more than £15 
(about $30?) for enough to fill your cooling system when it's mixed with 
distilled water... It is much better than the regular blue coolant though. Far 
superior anti-corrosion and heat transfer properties, longer life, and helps to 
preserve the life of the head gasket, etc...
