Well... I suppose, theoretically, they could have aligned the cams with
some other tool. It should be possible to make a tool which will hold the
cams aligned. All you really need to do is to hold the cam "eyes" so all
the holes line up.

As long as the garage is big enough to allow you to work in front of the
car you should be OK. Make sure you have a torque wrench handy along with a
few bigger sockets (24mm and 27mm comes to mind).
