[V6-12v] Gear oil, brake job

Luckly my Sears did have that giant hex wrench. It looks like someone
took a regular "L" shaped hex hey and blew it up. :) Unfortunately it
only worked for the rear diff... The tranny took a big torx for the
fill plug and a big triple-square bit with a security dimple in it for
the drain plug. (01A transmission).

My FLAPS had a little pump with hoses for filling the diff and trans.
Made it do-able, not clean...

I did read several warnings about not using GL-5 in the older audi
transmissions. It is apparently very bad for the brass synchros. If
your gearbox calls for GL-4, I would advise filling it with either OEM
fill or Readline MT-90. After the change (the previous owner had put
Amsoil GL-5 in it), the transmission got a little harder to shift but it
stopped grinding into gear.
