Usually a "grouching" or crunching noise on a turn in means that a CV joint or 
a wheel bearing is going bad. Take a look to see if a CV boot is torn. If the 
noise occurs on right hand turns then take a look at the driver's side wheel 
since that is the loaded wheel.
